SPORT WALKING CLINIC - SATURDAY, JULY 22
INFORMATION
Thank you for planning to join us this Saturday for our pre-season Sport Walking Clinic. For some of you, this will be your first exposure to Sport Walking. For many, this will be a chance to tune up your skills. Whichever the case. we're thrilled you can join us.
Following are the details you'll need to know so everything goes as smoothly as possible.
REMEMBER TO STAY HYDRATED - BRING WATER!
WHEN: Saturday, July 22, 2023
WHERE: Runner's Den, 6505 N. 16th St., Phoenix 85016
CHECK-IN: 6am - 6:25am
CLINIC DURATION: 6:30am - 8am
PARKING: You will park at the Doctor's office lot, immediately east of Runner's Den. The gates will open at 6am.
CHECK-IN PROCEDURE: Upon arrival, you will go to the registration table set up on the Runner's Den building walkway and sign your initials next to your name in one of the log books. This confirms your attendance and acceptance of the Clinic Waiver of Liability, which will be posted.
YOUR INSTRUCTOR/COACH IS MARIA PECK: Maria Peck developed the entire concept of Sport Walking and is returning for her second season of coordination of our Fall Training Sport Walking Program. (Starting 8/19/23)
TIMELINE:
6:30am: Introduction
6:40am: Warm Up/Stretch
6:50am:
7:30am: Optional .5 mile Walk with Maria to test your new skills
WHAT YOU WILL NEED: We suggest you wear loose fitting clothes with comfortable athletic shoes. While we will have water available on site, we suggest you bring a water bottle if you plan to join the optional Walk.

- Technique Basics
- Instruction
- Practice drills
